Portfolio Thumbnail - thumbnail & thumbnail text link clickable, overlay is not a clickable link

hi, it seems that on the Portfolio Thumbnails, the overlay color interferes with the thumbnail link. If a user clicks on the overlay the link will not work. Is there a way to make the overlay clickable? Some users will click the overlay and become frustrated that it does not work. Thanks!
