Multiple languages

Hello,
One reason I chose Regain was because it supports multiple languages. Does this work only with the WPML plugin? I installed another one (WP Multilang) but the languages just showed up in the "Posts" section, but since I'm building a portfolio site I need it in the "Works" section. Is there a way to make this work? And if I need the WPML plugin, does the WPML blog version work with Regain or would I need the CMS version?
